Before the start of the campaign, participants are encouraged to join training sessions to learn how to contribute to Wikipedia and/or Wikidata and Wikimedia Commons, or if already familiar with editing these Wikimedia projects, to refresh their skills. In addition to “global” online training sessions, participants can join one of twenty local sessions (online and in-person) held throughout the continent led by experienced local Wikimedia organizers.
